West Lyon toys with Mason City Newman

Big Blue kicked the Knights from Mason City. They were ok, but were overwhelmed. Here is the story.

INWOOD, Iowa | Kyle Groeneweg ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass as top-ranked West Lyon opened the Class A playoffs with a first-round win over Mason City Newman.
Bennett Feuchtenburger (14 carries, 62 yards), Kaleb Heyer (8 rushes, 59 yards) and Brandon Snyder (54 yards rushing) all tallied one touchdown run for the Wildcats (10-0).
Snyder hit Groeneweg with a 24-yard scoring strike in the second quarter as West Lyon led 35-0 at halftime.
West Lyon will host district rival Lawton-Bronson in Monday's second round.

We could have scored 70+ points and held them to nothing, nothing at all. Jay decided to play younger guys and now we have some more experience. So we have Lawton next. Get after it.
