West Lyon pounds Sioux Central

Very windy night. SC kicks into the end zone but Big Blue just runs right through their D for a TD on the opening drive. Extra point barely thru the uprights and 7-0 WL. 3 and out for SC, down the field, TD missed extra point, 13-0. Sioux Central could not get anything going in second quarter and would not punt into the wind so WL kept having short fields. We did fumble once to them but they fumbled right back so it was all good. Bennett F had 3 TDs, Ethan Ageson had 1, Scott Erickson had a PAT and Kyle Groenewig had a 2pt conversion in the first half. 27-0 at half. We drove the ball in the second half, but threw a pick in the endzone and got stopped at the one another. I don't think SC had a first down until the 4th quarter. The starting D was awesome, they physically dominated Sioux Central. The defensive front line is tough to move and the LBs, Skylar and Kaleb ( he led in tackles again!) have played very well. I thought the secondary had things really locked down again. The offense looked pretty good, some different things being done to get the ball to everyone. Here are the game stats.

Sibley, at Sibley this week. I don't really know much, stats show they like to throw. I know they made the playoffs last year and look like they still have a shot this year. This district has been a toss up, teams are better. No one has dominated every game. Be ready to go Wildcats. GO BIG BLUE!!
