West Lyon beats up HMS

Great night for football at West Lyon. I have to admit I was nervous about this game. HMS had been putting up huge running numbers and we had kind of struggled with SOB's running sooooooo I was nervous. Well folks, nothing to be nervous about. The boys came out and just beat HMS up. Very simple, kicked their a**. Running backs and line were just going so hard. Bennett at FB scored 3 TD and had 144 yards. Brandon had over 100 and Kyle was close. Adam only had two catches, but the 65 yard TD was one of the greatest plays I have seen at West Lyon. Short catch, broke tackles, ran over and away from people. 35-0 at half, 42-0 going into the fourth, 42-6 final. As good as the O was, the D was better. Maybe one first down first half. I had more yards walking to the bathroom than HMS did the first half. Had 120 for the game and 70-80 of that had to be against our JV. I have figured out how to find game stats so I will post those, but great job D, in particular Lucas Bouwman and Skylar Halma. These two seniors are doing a great job leading that D with Adam T, Ethan Erickson, and Charles Stai.
