West Lyon outpunches St Ed onto state championship!!

Down goes the Green Machine from Fort Dodge St Edmunds. 17-7 Big Blue wins. This was a grinding game. Reminded me of playing Emmetsburg. Rough, physical play. We had about 240 yards of offense, they had about 160. O toole, their stud running back over 2500 yards rushing and 46 TDs. He had 50 in first quarter then nothing. Big Blue kicked their ass. He ended up with 58 yards on 22 carries. You cannot just run one guy on Jay Rozeboom and expect to win. Vaughn was a stud with 125 yards. Jake just kicks people's ass. Dylan has done a great job at QB. He does not get enough attention. Chase has been great, plays here and there. TerWee has been good and really the whole line is really good. Colin has 6 picks and has become more physical. Fun team to watch.

Now we get Iowa City Regina. Folks, this is a very good team. What they have done this year is impressive. We have our work cut out for us. Plenty of people are saying we have no chance. Well, I remember the great teams from CBSA that were going to thump us always. We won a few of those and they look like Regina now. This has been a fun, gritty team to watch. 7th time in the championship game. WOW. Bring it home boys. GO BIG BLUE!!
