West Lyon pounds on Sheldon

West Lyon took it to Sheldon 28-0. Great offense, over 350 yards of rushing. Tough defense, two stops inside the 10 and only gave up about 100 yards total. Vaughn Moser was just running over people (141 yards) and Dylan Huyser started at Fullback and went over 80 yards. Chase Grotewold had some nice runs and Dylan Whalen runs the team well. Still had a few fumbles, that needs to get cleaned up but the O line looked pretty good. Defense looked so much better. Colin Snyder had a pick and Jake Newborg had a bunch of tackles in the backfield. The linebacker crew of Vaughn, Trevor Rozeboom, and BIG Jordan Van Beek really laid the wood. I am looking forward to the game in Sibley. Fun to finally start district play. They are 2-0 and I am sure they are feeling pretty good about themselves. I do remember they got pretty cocky against our 4th team defense (freshman and sophomores) last year. We will have to see what the Generals bring to the table this year. GO BIG BLUE!!
